Complex Tags Setup

Scale Pricing Tag

Tags representing scale pricing data benefit from an advanced setup in the add-in.

When editing a tag of type "Scale pricing," the add-in will display at the top of the add-in panel a display representation of the Scale display to help you identify the settings you will fulfill in the rest of the panel.

Here is the list of settings available for display adjustment and their explanations.

  • Show Base Value - if checked will display the base value.
  • Show Method - if checked will display the calculation method (cumulative or graduated).
    • Show Table Title - if checked will display a title for the scale table and will require to fill in the Table title label.
    • Show Scale Table - if checked will display the scale table and will require to pick and choose columns to display and all options related to the columns.
  • Show Column Headers - if checked will display all column header of the scale table.
  • Show Threshold - if checked the Threshold column will be displayed in the scale table.

Available options for the Threshold are:

  • Header label will be the one displayed in the header of the scale table
    • if empty and visible, the label will be retrieved in the datasource
  • Prefix: free text entry will be displayed before the data of the threshold
    • if empty, nothing will be displayed
    • Suffix: free text entry will be displayed after the data of the threshold
      • if empty, nothing will be displayed

Show Offset - if checked the Offset column will be displayed in the scale table. Available option for the Offset is:

  • Header label will be the one displayed in the header of the scale table
    • if empty and visible, the label will be retrieved in the datasource

Show Projection - if checked the Projection column will be displayed in the scale table. Available option for the Projection is:

  • Header label will be the one displayed in the header of the scale table
    • if empty and visible, the label will be retrieved in the datasource

Enter table style name - Fill in here the name of the table style you want to use for the scale table. You will first need to create a Word Table Style. To do so you will need to:

  • Create a table in Word and Select it
  • Go to the Table Design Menu
  • Under Table Styles, create a New Table Style
  • Set your Table Style and save it
  • Remove the table once the style is created.

Guideline for Word Table Style Usage in PROS Document The Table Style name must only contain alphanumeric and "-" characters. No space, no other special characters are allowed. The Table Style created must only define the style options needed. The generated table will apply all possible existing "style level" (for example don't create a style for odd columns if don't want to see it). Header style only apply to first row. Think about removing it from the style if you're not willing to display headers in the scale grid.

Note: It is not possible to reorder the column of the scale table. Same labels will be used whatever the generation language is.

As for any other tags, the formatting of numeric values can be overridden at the tag level.

JSON Tag

When editing a tag of type JSON the user has two option to choose from:

  • Insert the JSON file "as-is" into the Generated Document
  • Get a specific value from the JSON via a Jsonpath formula

If the user wants to get a specific value via a JSONpath formula, they will need to provide :

  • the correct formula to point to the value
  • the data type corresponding to the value (for formatting purpose after generation).

Note the data type handled for formatting are the following ones (matching Performance Quoting types):

  • Big Decimal
  • Boolean
  • Currency
  • Date Time
  • Integer
  • Date
  • Long
  • Monetary
  • Percentage
  • String
  • URL

As for any other tags, the formatting of numeric values can be overridden at the tag level.
