X-Author Contracts also enables you to accept or reject the changes you make to the clause content in a generated document. When viewing a redlined agreement, you will need to reconcile changes in the clauses. Clause changes and clause reconciliation with X-Author Contracts is absolute, either you accept the entire change (default) or reject all changes. Unlike Fields and Tables, clauses during any reconciliation are Read Only. You can reject a change in a clause from the Control Panel. Select a changed clause from the Control Panel and in the bottom pane, you will see the differences in the current clause to the previous clause.

To reject clause changes in an agreement

  1. From the X-Author Contracts Ribbon, click Control Panel to open it. By default, Show changed clauses only is selected to view only the changed clause records.
    You can adjust the column width in the Control Panel by drag and drop functionality.       
  2. Right-click any clause which has Changed checkbox selected against it.
  3. Click any one of the following:
    1. Click Reject Changes if you do not wish to keep the changes in the clause.
    2. Click Show Changes if you want to view the changes made to the clause. The newly added content is visible in blue and the deleted content in red.
  4. If you chose to reject the changes, the following confirmation message appears.
  5. Click Yes to remove the changes from the clause or click No to retain the changes in the clause.

You have either accepted or rejected the changes made to the marked clause in the generated document. You can now Check-In the document.
