The agreement document does not retain the metadata if the document is corrupted. To retain the metadata in the corrupted document, you must restore the document metadata.

This feature is applicable to version-aware agreement documents only.

Prerequisite

  • You must add an admin entry "APTS_IsRequiredToVerifyApttusMetadata" in the connected Salesforce org. The value of this admin entry must be true. For more information on how to configure admin entry, refer to Admin Entries topic in Contract Management on Salesforce Spring 2020 Administrator Guide.

To restore the document metadata

  1. If the document is already checked-out, goto the Access tab and click Restore Document Metadata
    or
If the document is not checked-out, click Check-Out.
  2. A message is displayed to restore the metadata. Click Yes.
  3. Choose an existing agreement document for restoring metadata for the current document. The list displays all the existing documents that are generated using the same template.
  4. Click Submit

After clicking submit, the document is successfully checked-out.
