- For Microsoft Word 2021: Special characters are not supported by Microsoft Word 2021. When you save a file with special character, X-Author replaces the special characters with a single space as a workaround during check-in. This is reflected in the Microsoft Word 2021 display name. The document in X-Author for Contracts and Salesforce will still show the name with special characters included.
- For Microsoft O365: Special characters are supported and X-Author for Contracts makes no changes to how your file name is displayed in Microsoft Word.
