Sharing a Quote with a Buyer

  • The quote must be in Generated or Presented stage.
  • Storefront is configured.
  • Account details, bill to, ship to, and primary contact information is present in the quote.

You can build a quote and share with the buyer to help finalize the configuration and pricing.

While sharing you need to choose the authentication type. The following types are supported.
  • Access without Login
    • View Access Only with Accept/Reject options
  • Access with Login
    • View Access Only with Accept/Reject
    • View Access with Quantity/Term Change
    • Edit Access (Add/Remove/Configure Cart)

When using the "Access without Login" authentication type, the Storefront must have Guest User access configured.

  1. Open the required Quote.
  2. Click Next Steps > Share with Buyer.
  3. Select the authentication type and the access type.
    "Access with Login" and "View Access Only with Accept/Reject" are the default selection.
  4. The storefront name is auto populated, however you can selected another from the drop-down list.
  5. The From field has default selection. The quote owner email ID is displayed.
  6. Enter the recipient's email address.
    For "Access without Login", primary contact is displayed in the field, you can delete and add a new name if required. For "Access with Login", you must enter the name or use the typeahead search function.
  7. The email subject is auto generated. Modify as required.
  8. Proceed with the pre-selected email template, or select a different template, or select Write Custom Message to disregard the predefined template and compose a personalized message.
    The predefined templates are non-editable. In the customized message panel, the URL to the storefront is auto populated and you can write a custom message around the URL.
  9. Review the message in the Preview Message window, click Send.
An email with a link to the Storefront is sent to the buyer, where the buyer can review the quote and provide the appropriate response.
