Setting Up Conga Sales Agent

  • Einstein is turned on in your Salesforce org.
  • Agentforce is enabled in your Salesforce org.
  • You have a Conga CPQ license.
  • You have system administrator permissions in Salesforce.
  • Your Salesforce org is configured for Lightning Experience.

Conga Sales Agent is an AI-powered assistant built on Salesforce Agentforce that helps your sales team automate common Conga CPQ tasks directly within Salesforce. You set up Conga Sales Agent using the Agentforce Employee Agent template to enable your sales representatives to generate quotes, search product catalogs, update records, and manage orders more efficiently.
  1. From Setup, enter Agentforce Agents in the Quick Find box, and then select Agentforce Agents.
  2. Click New Agent.
    If the New Agent button is not visible, refresh the page.
  3. Select Agentforce Employee Agent as the agent type, and then click Next.
  4. (Optional) Select subagents and actions for Conga Sales Agent and actions that come with the template. The General FAQ topic is selected by default and includes the Answer Questions with Knowledge action.
    1. Click See Included Actions next to each topic to review its associated actions.
    2. Deselect any topics that do not apply to your Conga CPQ use cases by clicking Added next to those topics.
    3. Click Next.
  5. Customize your agent.
    These settings determine how Conga Sales Agent behaves and presents itself in conversations with your sales representatives.
    1. In the Name field, enter Conga Sales Agent.
    2. In the Description field, enter a description of the agent's purpose and scope. For example: Conga Sales Agent automates common Conga CPQ tasks and assists sales representatives in their flow of work. This includes tasks such as generating quotes, searching product catalogs, summarizing records, updating orders, and managing renewals.
    3. In the Role field, enter the agent's role as it applies to your sales team.
    4. In the Company field, enter your company name and a brief description of your business.
    5. Click Next.
  6. (Optional) Select a data source to ground Conga Sales Agent's responses with the Answer Questions with Knowledge action.
  7. click Create.
    Agentforce Builder opens, where you can add and configure topics, actions, and other agent assets for Conga Sales Agent. For more information, see ​Configuring Your Agent with Subagents, Actions, and Other Agent Assets​.​
  8. Add the topics and actions that Conga Sales Agent requires for your Conga CPQ use cases.
    1. In the Subagents section, click New, and then select Add from Asset Library.
    2. Select the check box next to the following Subagents that applies to your Conga CPQ sales workflows.

      Conga Sales Agent supports the following subagents and each containing a set of actions that sales representatives can invoke using supported language prompts. For more information on the prerequisites, configuration requirements, and sample prompts for each action, see Conga Sales Agent Topics and Actions.

      • Quote Management
      • Catalog Management
      • Cart Management
      • Asset Management
      The selected topics appear in the Topics section of Agentforce Builder.
    3. Click Finish.
      The selected subagents appear in the Subagents section of Agentforce Builder.
    4. Click each topic to review and modify its associated actions as needed.
  9. In the upper-right corner of Agentforce Builder, click Activate.
    If a Configuration Issues Detected dialog appears, click Ignore and Activate to proceed.
    Conga Sales Agent is activated and available in Lightning Experience.
  10. Create a permission set to grant your sales team access to Conga Sales Agent.
    1. From Setup, enter Permission Sets in the Quick Find box, and then select Permission Sets.
    2. Click New.
    3. Enter a label and description for the permission set, and then click Save.
    4. In the Apps section, click Agent Access.
    5. Click Edit, select Conga Sales Agent from the list of available agents, click the right arrow to move it to the Enabled Agents section, and then click Save.
    6. Click Manage Assignments, select the users who need access to Conga Sales Agent, click Next, click Assign, and then click Done.
    Your sales representatives can now access Conga Sales Agent from the Agentforce icon in Lightning Experience. For more information, see Managing Employee Agent Access in the Legacy Agentforce Builder.
Conga Sales Agent is set up and activated. Your sales team can access it by clicking the Agentforce icon in the upper-right corner of Lightning Experience and selecting Conga Sales Agent.
