Enabling the Conga Sales Agent on Salesforce

  • You must have System Administrator permissions on the Salesforce org.
  • Your Salesforce org must be on Enterprise Edition or higher (Enterprise, Unlimited, or Developer Edition).
  • You must have access to the Conga Install Center for package installation.
Before installing and configuring the Conga Sales Agent, ensure that your Salesforce org meets all prerequisites. Confirm that Einstein and Agentforce are enabled, your org is on a supported Salesforce edition, Lightning Experience is active, and all required Conga CPQ packages are installed.
Enabling Einstein and Agentforce
  1. Log in to your Salesforce org as a System Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Setup > Einstein Setup.
Use the Quick Find box and search for Einstein Setup.
  3. Toggle Turn on Einstein to Enabled.
This is the foundational toggle that enables all AI features in Salesforce, including Agentforce. If Einstein is already enabled, proceed to the next step.
  4. Navigate to Setup > Agentforce.
Use the Quick Find box and search for Agentforce. This option appears only after Einstein is enabled.
  5. Enable Agentforce for your org by toggling the activation switch.
Agentforce is now active. The Agent Builder interface becomes available under Setup.
Verifying Lightning Experience
  1. Navigate to Setup > Lightning Experience.
Use the Quick Find box and search for Lightning Experience.
  2. Verify that Lightning Experience is enabled for your org.
Agentforce and the Conga Sales Agent are supported only in Lightning Experience. Salesforce Classic is not supported. If Lightning Experience is not enabled, enable it and migrate users before proceeding.
Assigning Agentforce User Permissions
  1. Navigate to Setup > Permission Sets.
  2. Locate the Agentforce User permission set (or Einstein Copilot User, depending on your Salesforce edition).
  3. Click Manage Assignments and add all users who need access to the Conga Sales Agent.
At minimum, assign this permission set to the System Administrator profile and all sales representative profiles that will use the agent.
  4. Click Save.
The selected users can now interact with Agentforce agents, including the Conga Sales Agent once deployed.
