New Features

The following features are new to the Conga Revenue Lifecycle Platform in this release.

User Groups

You can now create groups of individual users with specific roles and permissions. These groups streamline collaboration by bringing together users who share common interests, roles, or responsibilities. Administrators can not only create new groups but also include a mix of both groups and individual users within a single group.

For more information, see Creating User Groups.

Record Owner

You can now choose whether to show the owner's information in the record when you create the object.

For more information, see Creating and Managing Objects.

Complex Metadata

You can create a complex field by nesting multiple fields with different data types—such as strings or numbers—into a single field.

For more information on creating complex metadata, see Managing Complex Metadata.

Telemetry Logs

You can monitor the performance of the software, get insights about usage patterns, detect errors, and troubleshoot problems easily with the help of the Telemetry Logs.

For more information, see Managing Telemetry Logs.

Access Scheduled Jobs

You can view a list of scheduled jobs, both planned and executed. Additionally, you have the ability to review the history of completed scheduled jobs and access historical data.

For more information, see Accessing Scheduled Jobs.

Quick Start Guide

The Conga Revenue Lifecycle Cloud Welcome Window includes a quick start guide to help you onboard customers, set up your organization's credentials, create roles, permission groups, and users.

For more information, see Logging in to Conga Revenue Lifecycle Platform.

The welcome window appears after you reset your password and log in to the Conga Revenue Lifecycle Cloud for the first time. However, you can reopen it by clicking on the Bulb icon at the top right corner of the home page.

Translation Sync

You can sync translation information from Salesforce to the revenue lifecycle platform if your source system uses multiple languages.

For more information, see Translation Sync.

Sync Deleted Record

You can now remove the deleted source object record from the target object record to keep both systems in sync during an incremental sync.

For more information, see Creating and Managing Object Mappings.

Receive Email Alerts for Data Sync Events

You can now get email notifications for the following data sync events. For more information, see Email Notification Settings.

  • Sync Start: when a data sync begins
  • Sync Completion: Once the data sync process is completed
  • Sync Failure: In case of a data sync failure

Value Transformation

The Value Transformation feature helps in converting source field data into the right format that matches the requirements of the Conga Platform.

For more information, see Transforming Field Values.

Cross-Object Formula Field Expression

The Formula Field expression now also supports cross-object formal fields.

For more information, see Formula Builder.

Conversion Management

Conversions Management allows you to quickly create and maintain conversion rates for Currencies, Units of Measure (UOM), and Frequencies.

For more information, see Conversion Management.

Enhancements

The following section describes the existing features that are changed (or are no longer supported) in this release.

Search Settings Sync Status

Now you can easily track the syncing progress of your search settings. The application will show the sync status as a percentage right next to the object name.

Conga IDP Log in

Now, when using Conga IDP as the Identity Provider, you can log in to the Conga Platform using your username instead of your email ID.

Prevent OOTB Object/Field mappings

The application now prevents deleting OOTB object/field mappings and only allows you to edit mappings for specific objects/fields.

Guest and Community User

You can now manage (Enable or Disable) the guest and community user functionality at the Organization level by using the Enable Guest & Customer Community User option, which controls the visibility of the Add Guest button and Community User option in the User Type field on the new user creation screen.

You only need guest and community user accounts if you are using Conga Digital Commerce product.

For more information, see Viewing Conga Org DetailsAdding and Activating Users, and Working with Users.

Email Template Category

You can now manage the public email template category-wise. This will help you to segregate the template based on the different categories or products.

For more information, see Creating Email Templates.

Date Data Type Support

You can now create the field with the Date data type. The Date data type field must be formatted in the yyyy-MM-dd format.

For more information, see Creating and Managing Fields.

External Integration

You can add one or more external integrations per your business needs; however, you can make only one as a default IDP. Furthermore, you cannot delete the external integration in any of the following scenarios: An API connection is established with the external integration, a user(s) is assigned to the external integration, and only one external integration is available.

For more information, see Managing External Integration.

Guest and Community User Permission Group

As an Administrator, you can update the GuestUserPermissionGroup and CommunityUserPermissionGroup permission groups to allow or amend permission for any out-of-the-box and custom objects.

This applies only to the Conga Digital Commerce product.

For more information, see Working with Permission Groups.

Update User

An administrator can now update the External ID of the user.

For more information, see Working with Users.

Custom Field for User Record

If you have added any custom field(s) to the User object, then while updating the user you can add or update the custom field value through User Interface or User Update APIs.

For information, see Working with Users and Update User API.

Ability to Change Precision and Scale Value

You can now change the precision and scale value of a custom field with the datatypes Currency, Double, or Decimal.

Account Scope for Permission Group

An administrator can allow the user (record owner, who created the account record, or the user part of the user group) to access a record if an account is tagged as an attribute value (lookup relation) on the object.

For information, see Understanding Role-Based Access Control.

Ability to Delete Custom Field

You can now delete a custom field that has no data in any of the records.

For more information, see Creating and Managing Fields.

Admin Apps View Permission

When you create a new permission group, the application adds the View All permission to the AppRegistry object, allowing non-admin users to view the Conga Platform Admin Apps. However, you can change the object permission if necessary.

For more information, see Creating Permission Groups.

Validation Message for Bulk User Upload

When you bulk upload users, the system validates the uploaded file first. If the file has any incorrect field names, the validation will fail and an error message will be displayed.

For more information, see Importing Users.

Search Settings

If no search settings are configured for User, Role, and Object Permission objects, the application searches for object details from the database.

Default Identity Provider

You can now change the default IDP straight from the list page by selecting the Default IDP status of the particular external integration. Hover the mouse over the default IDP column of the specific external integration to change the status.

For more information, see Managing External Integration.
