Accepting Quotes

The Approval Stage must be in the Presented stage and the associated cart must be in the Finalized stage.

After a trading partner has accepted a proposal, you can finalize the proposal by accepting the proposal.

After the proposal has been presented to the trading partner either manually or via email, the Accept button is enabled. Clicking the Accept button signifies that the trading partner has accepted the Proposal.

When you set the Quote Intent to Price Agreement, add products to the cart, apply adjustments, run pricing, finalize the cart, and then accept the quote, the system automatically creates a Contract Price List. This price list is named "PL‑<Quote Number>", assigned the Contract type, and populated with the Contract Number (Quote ID) along with the Contract Price (the final net unit price). In future quotes that use this Contract Price List, the catalog continues to show the standard List Price, but the cart displays and applies the Contract Pricing during calculations. If the Quote Intent is Contract or Price Agreement, the system only generates a Contract Price List (type: Contract)—no order is created. If the Quote Intent is Order, then only the order is generated.

  1. Open the desired quote.
  2. Click the vertical ellipsis icon next to the Generate button.
  3. Click Accept.
The Approval Stage changes to Accepted.
