Activating an Order

An order in Draft, Pending, Confirmed, or Fulfilled, status can be activated using the Activate button in the Actions panel. The Actions panel is available on Order Details page.

Upon activation, the system updates the order and its associated order line items to Activated status and populates the Ready for Activation Date on both records.

  1. Navigate to the Order Details page.
  2. Click Actions to open the Actions panel.
  3. Click Activate.
    The Activate Order page opens showing a header summary bar, Ready for Activation Date field, Cancel and Activate buttons, and list of order line items underneath that order.
    Note:
    • By default, the Activate Entire Order toggle is enabled. Disable this toggle to activate specific order line item (OLI). When disabled, checkboxes appear next to each OLI, enabling you to select the required items and activate them.
    • The OLI list shows all order line items that qualify for activation.
  4. Enter Ready for Activation Date.
  5. Click Activate.
    The Order has been activated is shown in a light green banner with a check mark.
The order is activated, you are redirected to the Order Details page. The workflow status is updated to Activated and displayed in light green next to the original order number on the top of the page. In the status bar, the Activated chevron is filled in dark navy blue, indicating the current stage. The system also populates the Ready for Activation Date field with the activation date.For more information about these fields and statuses, see Order Overview.
