New Features and Enhancements
The following features are new to CPQ in this release.
Enhancement to CPQ Admin Permissions
To improve data security and access control within Salesforce CPQ Admin, new permission settings are introduced more granular permission settings in this release. This update ensures that different user roles can access only the necessary data to protect sensitive information on Angular pages that do not support standard permission set restrictions. This update ensures that only authorized users can manage critical CPQ data while maintaining visibility where needed.
For more information, see About Permission Sets.
New Admin Setting: APTS_CartItemSyncBatchSize
A new admin setting, APTS_CartItemSyncBatchSize, has been introduced in this release. This feature allows you to specify the number of agreement line items to insert when you finalize the agreement with a large cart (> 2000 lines). To use this, you need to have the QTC profile set as Enterprise in your org.
For more information, see Configuring Admin Settings.
Support for IN Operator in Advanced Filter on the Cart
You can use the IN operator for the Number and Text fields while defining the advanced filter on the cart page. This allows you to narrow down the search results, as it supports comma-separated values in the Value column.
For more information, see Applying Advanced Filters on the Cart.
New Admin Setting: APTS_HideDefaultRuleMessage for CR Messages
When Constraint Rule Execution Mode is set to Client in config system properties, you can use the admin setting “APTS_HideDefaultRuleMessage” to hide constraint rule messages for canceled lines in the cart on the CPQ UI.
New Admin Setting: APTS_CustomReadOnlyLineItemFlag for Read-only Line Items
New admin setting APTS_CustomReadOnlyLineItemFlag accepts the API name of a custom checkbox field on the line item object. If the checkbox is checked for a line item, that item becomes read-only on OOTB CPQ pages like Cart and Config.
For more information, see Configuring Admin Settings.
Enhancement to the Mass Update on the Cart Page
The enhanced cart page now ignores all Is Read Only line items when you perform the mass update. This improves the cart performance and completes all computations quickly.
For more information, see Managing Mass Update of Product Fields.
Admin Setting: APTS_PreventTurboUpdatesAfter
A new admin setting, APTS_PreventTurboUpdatesAfter, has been introduced in this release. Using this admin setting, you can prevent pricing from triggering on a specific action.
For more information, see Configuring Admin Settings.
Defining Multiple Conditions in Advanced Filter
The enhanced advanced filter on the cart page now allows you to defile multiple conditions using the OR or AND operator. This feature narrows down the search results further for quick actions.
This feature allows you to,
- Use the OR operator when defining more than one cart filter statement. Currently, you can use only the AND operator for all filter statements, and allows you to be able to choose.
- You can define a filter association where you can build a logical statement for my cart filter
- Just like constraint rule condition association (1 AND 2 OR 3, etc.)
- Should only support AND and OR along with parentheses
- This should be a text field called Filter Association at the bottom of the filter module
For more information, see Applying Advanced Filters on the Cart.
Enhancement in Direct Order Creation
For Direct Order creation and activation for bulk data to work, ensure the following:
- Use Order Setting “Order Item Activate Batch Size“ and ”Order Item Create Batch Size” to handle large numbers.
- Order object should have Profile Type as Enterprise to handle large carts.
- In Order System properties, "Create Asset on Order Activation"=True/False.
Enhancement in Favorite Configurations
In the Favorite configurations, you can now save products with Usage Price Tiers details. When you configure the saved Favorites from the Catalog screen, and if that Favorite configuration has any Cart Line item with Usage Price Tiers, the new cart grid also displays the Usage Price Tiers for that Cart Line Item.
For more information, see About Favorite Configurations on the Cart.
Enhancement in Configuration Page
The Auto-Included Product icon on the Cart page is also available on the product Configuration page next to the option name. This helps you identify the options that are added by the system using inclusion rules and those that are added manually.
For more information, see Configuring Products from the Catalog.
