New Features

The following features are new to Digital Commerce in this release.

Digital Sales Room (DSR) Usability and Access Enhancements

  • Quote Sharing Experience Updates in Web UI: Sales representatives can now share DSR Quotes from the Web UI with enhanced recipient selection, updated access messaging, and the new "DSR - Send for Review Template" email notification. The recipient list displays only contacts associated with the Quote's account, and DSR access is automatically granted to recipients when the Quote is sent. The "Share with Buyer" and "Share with Partner" actions are only available when the quote is associated with an account, and the Send button is disabled with a tooltip if the cart is empty or not finalized. As part of the UI enhancements, the authentication types have been renamed to Anonymous and Authenticated with Login. In addition, minor updates have been made to the names of the access levels. For more information, see Share Quote with Buyer and Partner.
  • Digital Sales Room as a Default Storefront: A Digital Sales Room (DSR) storefront provides a separate storefront for managing DSR branding and settings independently from other application storefronts. When a quote is shared with an authenticated buyer, the DSR storefront is identified in the shared link. For anonymous access, the application name is used in the link. For more information, see Sharing a Quote with a Buyer in CPQ and Digital Sales Room and its child pages in Digital Commerce.
  • DSR Storefront URL Delivery for Anonymous Buyer Users: When a sales representative shares a quote using the Anonymous authentication type, the system automatically selects the first available DSR storefront and sends the DSR Storefront URL to anonymous buyer users, enabling them to access the quote through the Digital Sales Room. For more information, see Sharing a Quote with a Buyer.
  • External Digital Sales Room User Authentication and Access: External buyers accessing a shared Digital Sales Room (DSR) link are routed to a dedicated login page instead of the internal application login. After authentication, access is limited to the Digital Sales Rooms and features shared with them. Invalid or expired links display a clear message and deny access. For more information, see Initiating Quote Collaboration – Sales Representative.
  • Recipient-Specific Quote Links in Comment Email Notifications: The application now includes recipient-specific quote links in comment email notifications. Sales representatives receive links to the Web UI quote, while Digital Sales Room (DSR) buyers receive links to the DSR Quote page, allowing recipients to open the relevant quote directly from the email.

Standardized Bill-To and Ship-To Address Management for External User

This update standardizes the handling of Bill-To and Ship-To addresses for external users across the storefront, quotes, and orders. Only accounts linked to the user's contact are available for selection in the Bill-To and Ship-To dropdowns. These fields are read-only on quote and order detail pages, and the Primary Contact field remains read-only, always reflecting the logged-in user. Guest users and internal users continue to use the storefront's default account mapping for Bill-To and Ship-To selections.

Administrators can create new accounts and locations directly from the Bill-To and Ship-To selection flow. Newly created locations are saved to the account for reuse in future quotes and orders. The Shipping Location field is now available and editable in quotes and orders, allowing selection and viewing of the location address, while Bill-To and Ship-To remain read-only.

The Cart API V1 now accepts additional fields, such as the Location field, in the quote creation request payload using the POST /api/cart/v1/carts/{cartId}/quote endpoint. All fields included in the request payload are stored in the quote object, and the QuoteOverrideAllowedFields setting can be configured to specify which fields can be overridden during quote creation.

These changes do not impact guest user account mappings.

For more information, see Cart APIs in Conga Developer Portal.

Line-Level Tax Data Model Extension and Storefront Display for Quotes and Orders

The platform now extends the data model to persist line-level tax details, including Tax Amount, Tax Rate, Tax Code, Taxable Amount, and Tax Inclusive Flag, on Quote Line Item and Order Line Item entities. Cart-to-Quote and Cart-to-Order conversions populate these fields, which are also available through Quote and Order GET API responses. Quote and Order headers provide a Total Tax Amount field that represents the sum of all line-level tax amounts, supporting downstream processes such as document generation, integrations, and reporting.

E-Commerce storefronts now display the Tax Amount for each line item on Quote and Order detail pages for both buyers and partners. The application displays the tax field below the Extended Price for each line item and includes a Tax row in the Price Summary section for the total tax. An information icon beside the price field provides access to a detailed tax breakdown at the line level. These features support both logged-in and guest users, with all tax values reflecting storefront currency and locale settings. A $0.00 value appears when tax is zero or not applicable for consistent display.

Edit Order and Edit Quote modes support tax recalculation after product, quantity, or pricing changes. The Calculate Tax button updates tax values after modifications. Existing tax values remain unchanged during editing until an explicit recalculation occurs. Warning messages appear when item changes may affect taxes, while recalculation remains optional during editing.

Quotes and Orders created without tax data continue to function as before, with tax fields defaulting to zero or null. Existing Cart, Quote, and Order flows remain unaffected by these changes.

For more information in Digital Commerce, see Calculating Tax and Recalculating Tax for Order.

Extensibility Configuration for Display Columns and Actions in Digital Commerce

  • Storefront Display Column and Action Configuration in Digital Commerce and DSR: Administrators can now configure display columns and action buttons for E-Commerce and Digital Sales Room (DSR) storefronts through Storefront Settings. Display column controls the fields shown in list pages, summary cards, line-item grids, and price rows. Administrators can configure field selection, including summary sections, custom headings, column order, formatting, sorting, record links, quick views, alternate display values, inline editing, and guest visibility. Display Action controls the action buttons on Quote and Cart detail pages, including action labels, order, styling, and visibility based on user type, record stage, and, for DSR, collaboration state.Changes take effect on the next page load without requiring a deployment. For guest users, configure the /api/revenue-admin/v1/flows/{flowname}/settings/{settingname}/{childsettingname} endpoint with the GET method in the allowed routes to enable this feature.

For more information, see Editing Storefront Setting in CPQ for Administrators and Retrieve custom settings associated with a flow API.

  • Configure Field and Action Layouts via JSON Editor in Storefront Settings: Administrators can now configure field and action visibility for Digital Commerce storefront pages using the Set up Field Layouts and Actions entry in Storefront Settings. The built-in JSON editor provides syntax highlighting, formatting, real-time validation, and error messages, and allows administrators to load a default template or existing storefront configuration. For more information, see Editing Storefront Setting.

Digital Sales Room and External User (Contact) Onboarding

Following are the enhancement for Digital Sales Room and for onboarding an external user while sharing quotes.

Digital Sales Room Channel Type

Administrators can filter and organize storefronts using the new Digital Sales Room channel type to streamline sales collaboration workflows.

For more information, see Digital Sales Room (DSR).

Improved Quote Sharing for Login-Based Authentication

When sharing a Quote with Buyer using the "Access with Login" authentication type, the system automatically detects if the recipient is a Contact without platform access and creates an external user account before sending the share email. The share email provides the Buyer with their username, organization name, Sales User's name, a direct Quote link, and instructions for one-time password login. If account creation fails, a clear error message is displayed and the share does not proceed; existing accounts are recognized to prevent duplicates.

This update also enables selection of multiple contacts as recipients for a single Digital Sales Room (DSR) Quote share, with each recipient receiving a personalized email and access provisioned as needed. The recipient selection field only displays contacts associated with the Quote's Account, and clear error messages are shown if no contacts are available or if the DSR storefront is not configured.

For more information, see Share Quote with Buyer and Partner.

Redirecting External User Buyers to the Correct Login Page for Shared Quotes

External User Buyers accessing a shared Quote via "Access with Login" are now routed to the dedicated External User login page, ensuring accurate authentication and direct access to the intended Quote. After successful login, Buyers are taken directly to their shared Quote and can only view the specific Quote they were invited to, with clear messaging for expired sessions or revoked access. Buyer can make the required modifications and use the Accept button to submit the changes.

Storefront URL Configuration for Digital Sales Room

Administrators can configure a Storefront URL for Storefronts with the Channel Type set to Digital Sales Room. The configuration displays the Storefront Path in the format <URL><Storefront Name><Tenant / Org ID> and provides a preview of the generated Digital Sales Room URL.

For more information, see Creating Storefront Settings and Editing Storefront Setting.

API Support for Sharing Quotes with Buyers

The CPQ API enables sharing finalized quotes with up to 10 buyer contacts via {{POST /api/quote/v1/quotes/

{quoteId}

/share-with-buyer}}. Sharing a quote creates a collaboration request for each contact, generates or updates the associated internal/external user record as needed, and sends an email notification containing an external user authentication link.

Access & Permissions

  • Sharing is restricted to quotes in Generated or Presented status.
  • The API enforces account-matching between the quote and the contact.
  • Each contact is assigned a permission group — FullEdit, RestrictedEdit, or AcceptReject — based on the specified access type.
  • Access changes apply only to the current quote.
  • Buyer (contact) users can access only quotes and proposals associated with their own account; access to other accounts or unrelated quote objects is restricted in both the UI and API.

Re-sharing & Updates

  • If the same quote is shared multiple times with the same contacts, additional collaboration requests are created, with the latest request used for each user.
  • Collaboration requests are updated upon quote acceptance.

Feature FlagsThe following feature flags must be enabled on the tenant to validate that the contact user has access to the data:

  • platform-user-management-contact-scope
  • enable-contact-user-operations
  • enable-external-rbac-creation

Admin UI and CPQ API Integration Configuration for Payment and Tax

The Integration > Others tab in the Admin Console enables administrators to configure and manage Payment and Tax integrations using CPQ APIs. Administrators can view, edit, and test integration configurations with JSON-based editing, connection validation, and standardized error handling. Sensitive credentials are securely managed through secret management and field masking, ensuring credentials remain protected and are not exposed in the UI.

CPQ APIs now support integration with the platform's generic integration configuration and secret-management solution. Administrators can securely create, update, retrieve, and validate integration configurations for Payment and Tax use cases. These APIs abstract provider-specific details, restrict access to administrators, and prevent exposure of secrets in responses, supporting Digital Commerce UI consumption.

For more information, see Configuring Stripe Payment Integration Using the Endpoint Configuration API, Viewing and Managing Stripe in the Admin UI, Configuring Avalara Tax Integration Using the Endpoint Configuration API, and Viewing and Managing Avalara in the Admin UI.
