You can configure publish options for users according to the OCC access mode assigned to their user profile. When a user profile is assigned with Comment Only or Negotiate OCC access modes, users from the user profile can publish documents only with redlines. When a user profile is assigned with Negotiate Plus and Edit OCC access modes, users from the user profile can publish documents with publishing options configured by you.

Prerequisite

Ensure you have configured the OCCProfileLevelSettingsRestService apex class. For more information, see Upgrading OCC.

Restriction

When you select either Comment Only or Negotiate OCC access mode, the Settings option is not available and you cannot configure publish options. 

To configure publish options 

  1. Navigate to the OCC Access Modes tab.
  2. Click New.
    The New OCC Access Mode window is displayed.
  3. From the Profile Name dropdown, select a user profile.

  4. From the Access Mode dropdown, select an access mode.

    If you select Edit or Negotiate Plus OCC access mode, you can see the Settings option.

  5. In Settings, select one or a combination of the following options:
    1. With Redlines: Allow users to publish documents with redlines.
    2. Without Redlines: Allow users to publish documents without redlines.
    3. Final-to be signed: Allow users to publish documents as final to be signed.

  6. Click Save.

  7. When you configure publish options for the first time, you need to add publish options to the layout. Navigate to the OCC Access Mode Layout and add With Redlines, Without Redlines, and Final to be signed fields to the layout as shown in the following screenshot. 

The following table lists the different publishing options available for users in the Publish popup when an OCC access mode is assigned:
