Enhancements

The following enhancements are new to Billing in this release.

Custom Plan Template Detail View for Administrators and Users

The Plan Template detail view UI enables administrators and users to review all template data in a read-only format, supporting verification, reporting, and approval processes. Administrators can perform actions such as Activate / Inactivate, Edit, and Clone based on template status, while users with restricted permissions can only view template details without performing actions.

For more information, see Custom Plan Template Details.

Custom Plan Template Activation and Inactivation from Detail View

Finance administrators can now activate or inactivate custom plan templates directly from the detail view, in addition to the list view. Action buttons display based on each template's current status, and the system updates user details and template status after confirmation.

For more information, see Activating or Inactivating Custom Plan Templates.

Custom Plan Detail View

Introduced a Custom Plan Details page to provide a detailed view of a single custom plan. It displays the plan's configuration, associated line items, installment schedule, and key metadata. Use this page to review, manage, and audit all aspects of a custom billing plan. This page is accessible by clicking any custom plan from the list on the Manage Custom Plans page.

For more information, see Custom Plan Details.

Edit Custom Plan from Details Page

Sales representatives can edit certain fields of a custom plan directly from the custom plan details page, with restricted fields remaining non-editable. The system displays user-friendly validation messages for any errors and confirms successful operations.

For more information, see Editing a Custom Plan.

API for Creating Custom Billing Plans from Proposal Header

Enhanced the existing Create Custom Plans API to enable Sales representatives to create custom billing plans — both Milestone and Term Based — directly from the Proposal header. The API supports plan creation using eligible templates. Custom plans are linked to selected finalized cart line items and the Proposal, along with references to any templates used, ensuring accurate billing representation during the quoting stage.

For more information, see Use Case: Custom Plan Workflow on Proposal.

Edit Custom Plans API: Edit Milestone-Based Custom Plans After Billing Header Creation

The Edit Custom Plans API now allows editing of milestone-based custom plans and their plan line items after the Billing Header and Billing Schedule Records are created, without requiring an Asset-Based Ordering (ABO) transaction. This enhancement allows the users to update milestone details after billing data has been generated, provided the changes do not affect pricing and therefore do not require an ABO transaction. Users can update installments — including fields such as Milestone Expected Date, Payment Term, Percent, Amount, Comments, and Description — provided the plan type is Milestone, the Billing Header is Active, and at least one installment remains open.

For more information, see Edit Custom Plans after Billing Generation.

Fixed Issues

The following issues are fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.

Case Number Conga Internal ID Description
- MAF-3286

CPQ Job records remained stuck in the Queued status with the traceid field set to null after order activation. This issue impacted processing of large cart data and the out-of-the-box BillingSchedule job.

Resolution

The Data Change Worker was throwing an exception during order activation. This has been fixed by updating all client SDK NuGet packages to the latest version, ensuring jobs are processed correctly and no longer remain stuck in the Queued status.

Known Issues

There are no known issues in this release.
