Creating a Quote from the Proposal
After configuring the required settings on the Conga Platform, you can test and verify the quote creation flow using the RLS flow. To achieve this, you must log in to the onboarded Salesforce org to create a new quote or proposal.
Prerequisites
- You have associated the products with the price list you are using for a new quote. For more information, see Associating Price Lists with a Product.
- All required products associated with the price list you are using for new quotes are activated and published. For more information, see Configuring the Products.
- The account you are using for a new quote has been synced with the Conga Platform.
- Document generation is configured for a quote in the Salesforce org. For more information, see Configuring Document Generation for Quote.
You can use the Conga CPQ on the Salesforce interface to enter the necessary information and prepare a quote/proposal request or draft. To complete the quote/proposal, you must enter details relevant to the proposal. Some of the fields, identified with either a red vertical line or asterricks, are required to save the proposal record. If the required details are not entered or incorrect details are entered, the system displays validation rule errors at the top of the page, highlighted in red.
