Use Case: Associating a Service Bundle with an Asset Bundle Components

This use case provides an example of how to achieve association between a service bundle and the components of an asset bundle. Your implementation may vary based on your specific business requirements.

  • A quote is created.
  • Asset Bundle 1 and its options (Asset Bundle Option 1 through Option 4) are set up in the system.
  • Service Bundle 1 and its options (Service Bundle Option 1 through Option 4) are configured in the product catalog.
  • Service CPQ is configured by the administrator. For more information, see Configuring Service CPQ.

A sales representative needs to associate a service bundle with selected components of an existing asset bundle, configure the service bundle options, and finalize the transaction so that the resulting service assets are visible and linked on the account.
