Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to Contracts for Salesforce in this release.
Microsoft 365 Authentication Update
Microsoft is retiring its One-Time Passcode (OTP) authentication method for external sharing and moving to Microsoft Entra B2B Guest Accounts between May 2026 and Aug 2026. As a result, external parties invited to review contracts in Contracts for Salesforce will no longer receive a one-time passcode via email. Instead, they will be invited as Microsoft Guest Users and will authenticate using their own Microsoft credentials.
This is only applicable to customers who use or include External Review using Microsoft O365 (Microsoft Office 365).
What do you need to do?
Your IT Administrator will need to grant the following permission to the Conga CLM Azure application in addition to existing permissions. This is applicable for Application and Delegated flow:Permission: User.Invite.All
Please refer to the Microsoft 365 Review Setup documentation for more details. This one-time change ensures that Contracts for Salesforce can invite external reviewers as Guest Users on your Microsoft tenant when they are part of the Microsoft O365 (Microsoft Office 365) review cycle.
Branding Update
All references to Contract AI are renamed to AiMe across the application, including the CLM Setup left panel, CLM Setup Configuration page, and Copilot launch screen.
Session ID Removal and JWT Flow Adoption Across Services
The Conga Contracts for Salesforce application now uses the JWT (JSON Web Token) flow for authentication. This change enhances application security and ensures more secure authentication management. To ensure the JWT flow works smoothly for your Contracts for Salesforce organization, the steps outlined in Connected App Management must be performed by the System Administrator for all of their Contracts for Salesforce users.
Document Collaboration React Page: Removal of Session ID Usage
The Document Collaboration React page no longer uses Session ID to connect Apex and React components. When a process takes longer to complete, a message prompts users to refresh the page to view the updated status, while background processing continues without interruption.
Approvals Widget
The Approvals Widget provides approvers with a consolidated view of all pending approval requests assigned to them, accessible from both the agreement detail page and the homepage. Approvers can review, approve, reject, or reassign single or multiple requests directly from the widget, with relevant actions and notifications handled automatically. For more information, see Approvals Widget for Contracts for Salesforce.
True-up Action Button Visibility Update
The True-Up screen hides the Save, Save and Continue, and Skip buttons when no action is required on a clause, allowing contract managers to focus on clauses with substantive or formatting changes. The buttons remain visible if a clause displays an exclamatory sign or if formatting changes are detected as modifications. For more information, see Viewing Redlines and Truing Up Data.
Redlined Clause and Alternate Clause Filtering Options for True-Up and Negotiate
Contract managers can now filter clauses by redline changes on the True Up page using the Show only Redline Changes toggle, which includes formatting changes. On the Negotiate page, the Show Clauses with Alternates toggle is now available to filter clauses with alternate versions. Both filters can be combined for precise clause identification during contract negotiation. For more information, see Viewing Redlined and Truing Up Data.
Display Document Version Number with Filename in AiMe and Microsoft 365
Contract managers can now view the version number alongside the filename of documents during contract negotiation and review cycles in both AiMe and Microsoft 365 interfaces. The display format is: File name (Version: version number).
Approval Delegation for Out of Office Users
You can now route clause approvals to a delegated approver when you are Out of Office. For more information, see Enabling Out of Office for Clause Approvals.
