New Features and Enhancements

The following features are new to CPQ in this release.

Handling BasePriceOverride for Ramp Line Items

A pricing callback method in Config System Properties ensures BasePriceOverride values retain correct precision for Ramp Line Items, avoiding rounding differences during pricing. This update keeps Net Price calculations consistent across main and ramp line items.

Object-Level Permission Control for CPQ Admin UI

This enhancement allows administrators to control user actions on CPQ Admin UI pages based on object-level CRUD permissions in the user's profile. In this release, you can control the visibility rules on the Admin UI pages through the Search Filters (CPQ) permissions. For example, if a user profile has only Read access to the Search Filters (CPQ), all action buttons and links on the Mange Visibility Rules page are disabled, allowing the user to view the page without making changes. This maintains consistent UI, improves data security, and manages access effectively.

To assign permissions to a user profile, navigate to Setup > Administration Setup > Profiles > Object Permissions and update the permissions as required.

For more information on creating a profile and assigning permissions, see Configuring a Profile.

Object-Level Permission Control for CPQ Admin UI

This enhancement allows administrators to control user actions on CPQ Admin UI pages based on object-level CRUD permissions in the user's profile. In this release, you can control the rollups on the Admin UI pages through Field Expressions permissions. For example, if a user profile has only Read access to the Field Expressions, all action buttons and links on the Mange Rollups page are disabled, allowing the user to view the page without making changes. This maintains consistent UI, improves data security, and manages access effectively.

To assign permissions to a user profile, navigate to Setup > Administration Setup > Profiles > Object Permissions and update the permissions as required.

For more information on creating a profile and assigning permissions, see Configuring a Profile.

CPQ Admin Permission Set Support for Field Expressions

CPQ Admin now supports permission sets for controlling access to field expressions and related admin pages. Assign CRUD, Read, or Read/Delete permissions to manage user access for viewing, editing, or deleting data within CPQ Admin, including the ability to restrict access to specific pages and actions based on assigned permissions.

CPQ Admin Permission Set Support for Product Groups

This enhancement allows administrators to control user actions on CPQ Admin UI pages based on object-level CRUD permissions in the user's profile. In this release, you can control the product groups on the Admin UI pages through the Product Groups permissions. For example, if a user profile has only Read access to the Product Groups, all action buttons and links on the Product Groups page are disabled, allowing the user to view the page without making changes. This maintains consistent UI, improves data security, and manages access effectively.

To assign permissions to a user profile, navigate to Setup > Administration Setup > Profiles > Object Permissions and update the permissions as required.

For more information on creating a profile and assigning permissions, see Configuring a Profile.

Automatic Refresh of Quote Page

When a proposal is finalized and the sync is complete, the Salesforce record is automatically refreshed on the Quote header page.

Auto-Including Option Products After Revalidation

Option products from hidden groups are now automatically added to the cart during revalidation, while invalid products are removed. This ensures complete and accurate bundle configurations without manual intervention.

Cascading Quantity Updates for Bundle and Option Ramp Lines

When the Auto-cascade Quantity flag is set to TRUE for a product, updating the quantity of any ramp line in a bundle automatically updates the corresponding ramp line quantity in its option products during repricing. This feature applies to auto-generated price ramps and does not support custom price ramps.

For more information, see Use Case: Auto Cascade Quantity and Auto Cascade Selling Term for Bundle Products.

New Parameter for Asset Manager Flow Button

An Out-of-the-box Account has an "Asset Manager" button, which can be used for direct orders for ABO operations. You can add a parameter in the Advanced Formula field to redirect to the Order detail page instead of the Account page.

When an order is created or a cart is finalized, if you want to go to the Order detail page, set the “RedirectToOrderPage” parameter to True.If you want to go to the Account detail page, set the “RedirectToOrderPage” parameter to False.

For more information, see the topic “Enabling CSR (Order) Flow” in Configuring Asset Management Flows.

Support for Extended Coupon Usage

The field “Apttus_Config2_NumOfTimesUsed_c” now supports tracking coupon usage up to 99,999. You can also set the “CouponLimit__c” field to “-1” to allow unlimited coupon usage.

Copy Products API: Promotion, Promo Code, and Manual Adjustment Cloning

The Copy Products feature now clones applied Promotions, Promo Codes, and manual adjustments on cart line items, retaining all incentive data during Turbo-based cloning. Promotion criteria are re-evaluated for copied items, ensuring accurate application of conditions and adjustments for administrators and implementation teams.

For more information, see Copying Product Configuration to the Proposal.

Support Permission Sets for CPQ Admin (Rule Engine)

CPQ Admin now supports permission sets to control access to angular admin pages, including Manage Rules and Products > Rules. Assign full CRUD, read-only, or read-and-delete permissions to manage who can view, edit, or delete data, with edit and delete actions disabled for users lacking those permissions. This feature enables administrators to restrict access and protect master data based on user roles.

Promotions for Bundle-Option Scenarios

Promotions now correctly apply to Buy X Get Y and Buy X Get X scenarios with bundles containing multiple options. Benefits are applied only when all required bundle and option products are present in the cart, with incentive codes and adjustment line items stamped consistently.

Data Model Changes

The following objects and fields are introduced to or changed in the system or data model in this release.

Fixed Issues

There are no fixed issues in this release.

Known Issues

The following unresolved issues are known to Conga at the time of this release.

Conga Internal ID Description
CPQ-101527

“Failed to reprice” error may occur when adding products to the cart.

CPQ-101183

Session IDs are stored in plain text within the Apttus_Base2TelemetryLogc records, raising concerns about potential unauthorized access due to recent security breaches in Salesforce organizations.

CPQ-101150

Order Line Items and Orders fail to activate when the Ready for Activation Date field is populated on the order line item.

CPQ-100561

Criteria Maintenance job may fail with a Salesforce exception “System Error: 527176362-544 (-1836596960)”.

CPQ-100047

The removeLineItems API may not remove line items from the cart UI in certain business use-cases. Child line items deleted via callback logic can still appear on the UI even after deletion.

CPQ-99403

Record lock errors occur when using the partial order API to create multiple orders in batches for large carts, as the SyncCartQ job locks the agreement record while syncing data.
