Chrome Redirect Issues when Using Composer

Current versions of Chrome do not allow redirects to occur as a security feature.

Question or Issue

When a Composer user in Lightning is running a solution with a DS7 parameter, the merge completes, but the screen never redirects back to Salesforce.

Causes or Possible Causes

Current versions of Chrome do not allow redirects to occur as a security feature.

To resolve this issue, enable Chrome to allow redirects when accessing your Salesforce URL by taking the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Chrome Settings.


  2. Click the Advanced dropdown.


  3. Click Privacy and Security.
  4. Click Site Settings.


  5. In Site Settings, scroll down and click Pop-Up and Redirects.
  6. Under the Allow section, click Add and enter your Salesforce URL (salesrep1.my.salesforce.com) or wildcard Salesforce URL ([*.]my.salesforce.com).


  7. Click Add.
