Mapping Fields in a Creation Template
A Microsoft Word contract document that has been formatted so that it can be used as a Creation Template must be uploaded, and the variable information (merge fields) in the document are then mapped to system fields.
Once a user with the Creation Template Admin permission has formatted your company's contract so that it can be used as a Creation Template in the Creation Wizard, the Creation Template Admin must upload the Microsoft Word document and map the variable information (merge fields) in the document to Conga Contracts system fields. Each merge field in the Word document must be mapped to one of the following types of fields:
- Default field in the Company or Contract Profile screen
- Additional field added to the Company or Contract Profile screen
- Field in an Additional Form that has been captured in a Company or Contract Profile
- Clause in the Clause Library
